Digital Natives is a Social-First Creative Agency based in East London. Our rapidly growing tribe works together to create best-in-class social campaigns for global brands, covering beauty, food & beverage and consumer electronics.

We’re looking for an outstanding Account Director (AD) to join our team to help lead the wider Account Management team. The successful AD will be experienced, personable, and have a talent for building relationships and providing our clients with a key point of contact across projects. Our new AD will ensure the smooth delivery of projects by supporting the wider team to interrogate the brief from our clients to manage budgets and timelines in line with client needs.

The Account Director will also play a key role in project managing the delivery of campaigns, by co-ordinating the resources needed to service projects, build strategic operational plans and balance the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. They will be expected to plan campaigns, and successfully grow client accounts creatively and financially. Travel is sometimes required for client visits, new business presentations, planning, brief taking or attending shoots.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Managing whole client accounts, including all projects, end to end, from briefing, budgeting and scoping to final delivery and reporting.
  • Acting as the bridge between departments, helping to drive campaigns and projects ahead by managing deployment across the business and overseeing, managing and delegating effectively.
  • Providing exceptional client services to your clients, developing a clear understanding of clients’ business needs and building client relationships, foreseeing and preventing client issues where possible.
  • Holding a deep understanding of both wider marketing approaches and the services that DN offers, using your experience and knowledge to help lead productive conversations across your projects and clients.
  • Interrogating and developing client briefs, presenting and providing directional solutions for their business needs.
  • Supporting the finance team in relation to client facing work, helping to manage the commercial performance of your accounts and client facing work.
  • Developing and growing existing client accounts by seeking and spotting business opportunities or challenges that we can solve through our services.
  • Supporting the Sales and New Business team, helping to win new client relationships where needed.
  • Managing more junior members of the team, overseeing their work and project delivery whilst upskilling and training with the assistance of more senior members of the team.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • 5+ years experience in social media, marketing, advertising, branding or digital is essential.
  • Experience within an agency environment building client relationships.
  • An awareness of the creative process/techniques and an understanding of digital and social platforms is a must.
  • A persuasive and confident approach to projects with the ability to plan and organise effectively.
  • Proactive attitude and an ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively develop relationships with clients.
  • Effective team management capabilities and ability to upskill and support junior team members.
  • A keen attention to detail in written communication and within budgets/finances.
