Senior Project Manager

You’ve seen the politics. Now lead the fix. This is not another BAU delivery role. A long-delayed submarine disposal programme is finally being restructured and the SDA needs experienced hands to shape what comes next. You’ll lead the organisational arrangements workstream. That means planning the structure, coordinating SMEs, managing the transition to BAU and guiding the documentation that supports major business cases. You’ll be client-facing and trusted to run with it. This role sits at the front of a strategic MOD programme. You’ll help bring structure to one of defence’s most complex capability transitions. It\’s a home based role with 2 days per week travel to Bristol expected. You’ll be a strong fit if you’ve: ● Delivered inside DE&S, SDA or similar MOD teams ● Worked on business cases, planning functions or early-stage delivery ● Managed senior stakeholders and large supplier inputs ● Operated across governance, approvals or organisational design What you’ll need: ● MOD project experience (DE&S, SDA or similar), preferably maritime ● Degree or equivalent experience ● APM, MSP or PMP ● Sole British nationality and active SC clearance It’s a permanent role with a consultancy supporting the SDA. Due to the nature of work, this role is only open to sole British Citizens who hold SC clearance.
