Prime Appointments are currently working with a leading design and manufacturer for test machines globally. This manufacturer is seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-skilled Technician to join their team of qualified and talented engineers based in Colchester! Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for the assembly, build and commissioning of their bespoke machines. You will get the opportunity to work on exciting projects, with high standards of quality! As a Multi-skilled Technician you will be required to: Assemble and fit precision mechanical components and electro-mechanical systems. Interpret and work from engineering and electrical schematics, including pneumatic and hydraulic circuits. Conduct electrical work such as wiring, connector termination, and circuit testing. Operate machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, as required. Carry out machine installation and commissioning, both in the UK and overseas. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers, both verbally and in writing. Utilise measuring tools and practical workshop techniques, including fitting and use of hand tools.As a part of this position, you will be required to travel to customer facilities in both the UK and Overseas for machine servicing and installation. Experience Required: Familiarity with machine installation and commissioning processes. Basic electrical skills, including wiring and connector termination.
