Hours/ Days: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Our client, as a growing business, has a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, to support the Accounts Manager to proactively deliver an exceptional business accounting and payroll.
The role:
- Processing supplier invoices.
- Allocating invoices against purchase orders.
- Raising any invoice queries with suppliers.
- Certifying subcontractor applications for payment with respective project managers.
- Processing & paying labour only subcontractor invoices on a weekly basis.
- Issuing on-site labour timesheets weekly to project managers for approval.
- Liaising with clients and the team to ensure all required information is gathered.
- Support with processing the monthly payroll.
The person:
- Previous experience in an accounts/ payroll assistant role or similar.
- Great systems experience ideally including an accounts/ payroll system.
- Confident user of MS Office and IT systems.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work at pace, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Highly organised and able to plan and manage own workload.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow processes accurately and consistently.
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and key contacts across the business.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and propose solutions.
- Energy, enthusiasm and confidence.
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures.
