Experience needed: We are looking for skilled engineers with experience in the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and systems to component level. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of calibration processes and a HNC, HND or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

About the role: We are seeking a Calibration Engineer to join our Calibration & Maintenance Team. In this role, you will service a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). The work is varied, challenging, and essential to supporting our manufacturing operations at all stages of product assembly and testing. You will work closely with engineers across the business to resolve routine and non-routine calibration and maintenance tasks. This includes fault finding, repair, commissioning, and drift analysis. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of complex test platforms for the manufacture of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate and maintain electrical and electronic test systems and equipment
  • Conduct fault-finding and repairs down to component level
  • Support routine calibration schedules, commissioning, and drift analysis
  • Work directly with support functions to resolve technical challenges
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and manufacturing processes
  • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and workload planning
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff

What we need from you:

  • Qualification: HNC, HND or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or a relevant subject)
  • Expertise in calibrating and maintaining test equipment and systems to component level
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, handbooks, and drawings to perform repairs and measurements
  • Good understanding of calibration principles and processes
  • Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
