Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Established over 40 years ago our client is a global player in the design and manufacturing of lighting products, supplying some of the most recognisable names in the agricultural/off-road/ commercial vehicle industry What's in it for you? * £45K per annum * Days * Permanent * 28 days inc stats * Free Parking * Progression opportunities About the role: * Working closely with the Quality Engineer you will support all functions of design and manufacture, liaising with internal and external sales to assist with new projects. * Act as a product specialist, providing technical support to internal and external sales teams. * Manage new product development, implementation, and project organisation. * Manage the approval process for samples of new products and product revisions. * Handle engineering changes and supplier/customer change requests. * Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures for production processes. * Manage SolidWorks drawings and related documentation. * Create part numbers, Bills of Materials, assembly instructions, and visual aids for production teams. * Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. The Candidate: * Will hold a recognised engineering qualification, ideally HNC * Will have proven experience in Project Engineering or Project Management * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Proficient in Solidworks * Competent in generating detailed reports and technical specifications * Familiarity with compliance standards
