As part of our continued support to our customer in the Aerospace sector we are looking for Structural Production Fitters to join us on a contract basis. The role is based at our customer’s facility in Belfast and includes both day and night shifts, with a premium paid for night work. This is an inside IR35 role with an initial duration of 6 months.
Responsibilities of the Structural Production Fitter include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components according to the specifications in the drawings and work instructions, using tools such as saws and drills.
- Installing components, which may involve working at heights on staging or assembly jigs.
- Ensuring all work meets industry and customer standards and safety regulations, and verifying the integrity and quality of assembled structures by adhering to work instructions and drawings.
Background, skills, and experience required:
- Mechanical/Aeronautical diploma, apprenticeship, or NVQ Level 3.
- Own tooling required (foamed toolbox and etched tooling).
- Experience in the manufacturing of Bombardier Business Jets is ideal.
- Experience working in a production environment.
