My client supports UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flying training. They now have an opportunity for a Safety Equipment Technician / AEA Supervisor to join them in a role that offers great professional development and a rewarding career with an ambitious company.
As the Safety Equipment Technician, you will ensure the delivery of the contracted service to the customer and ensure that stocks of serviceable AEA and Survival Equipment are made available to aircrew. This is an interesting and varied role supporting the business by providing maintenance support and repair ability across Survival Equipment (SE) and AEA Support Services. My client has ambitious plans and is therefore looking to recruit great talent to join their growing business that operates across the UK. As the Safety Equipment Technician you will possess a desire to contribute to the success and growth of their business.
What we’re looking for:
- Appropriate recent practical experience within and expertise within a survival equipment technician (SE tech) role
- Previous experience as an SE tech within an Aircrew Equipment Assembly (AEA) / Survival Equipment maintenance bay
- Ability to complete sizing for AEA including above and below neck and familiar with instructing aircrew in functional fit exercises
Qualifications:
- Recognised RAF Survival Equipment Course (or civilian equivalent)
- Recognised Q-SE-AC or AvMedSE qualification
- Recognised Human Factors training
