You are a corporate team player, highly motivated and resilient, with a legal qualification up to degree level or equivalent work experience in legal practice. You demonstrate a developed understanding and competence in legal matters related to children's and adult's social care, safeguarding, and education. You possess a basic knowledge of local government workings, with an understanding of the challenges posed by the current local government agenda.

What the Job Involves

As a Legal Officer, you will support lawyers in providing legal advice and solutions to Councils, Members, and Officers. You will assist in delivering high-quality, solution-focused legal work across multiple sites, particularly in the area of children's and adult's social care and education. Key responsibilities include managing legal work, conducting research, preparing documents, providing advice on legal matters, and supporting strategic projects. You will work autonomously under supervision, ensuring legal issues are addressed creatively and innovatively.
