Hays are partnered with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Interim Finance Manager on an initial 6-month contract basis. This opportunity is due to internal promotion and the Finance Manager will form an experienced team providing strong technical accounting and leadership experience. With an impressive brand in the market, our client offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity with the opportunity to be part of a fast-moving and creative industry. The Finance Manager will work on a hybrid basis and will be offered a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum. There is the possibility for this role to become permanent in the structure for the right candidate.
Your new role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the Finance team of three qualified Accountants and oversee the smooth running of the function. This role will involve overseeing the Financial and Management Accounting activities across the team, adding value in reporting and continuous improvement. You will lead in complex accounting areas and overall technical review of FRS102/current accounting standard/GAAP applied to ensure all reporting and accounting are compliant with relevant frameworks. You will support in commercial analysis, adding commentary on the bigger picture and have a strategic view across the organisation. The Finance Manager will provide information required for Board Meetings, Executive Meetings, Audit and Risk Committee and support the business with ad hoc Management information.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Accountant with strong people and collaboration skills. You will have strong technical and commercial finance skills with an analytical and continuous improvement focus. Experience in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
