Derry Credit Union continues to expand and grow in our common bond areas, BT47 & BT48. To support this growth and deliver a high-quality service to our members we now wish to appoint a Chief Executive Officer.

Hours: 37 hours over 5 days per week (Monday to Saturday)

Status: Permanent Post (Office Based Abbey Street, Derry)

Salary scale: Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of Derry Credit Union's operations, compliance, and performance. The CEO will be accountable to the Board of Directors for the performance and all of the functions within Derry Credit Union including staff. The CEO is responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high standard of performance from all staff and stakeholders who work for Derry Credit Union.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Level 6 qualification in a Business or a Finance related discipline OR Accounting Qualification
  • 3 years experience in a senior role to include:
  • Financial Planning
  • Financial Management
  • HR Management
  • IT, Systems and Controls
  • Risk Management
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Leading a diverse team
  • Managing change
  • Developing, delivering and monitoring strategic objectives

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Pathways Certificate/ Diploma in Credit Union Operations (NI)
  • Certificate in Credit Union Compliance & Risk (NI)
  • Capable of being authorised by the regulators to operate in the financial services sector
  • Ability to work with a voluntary Board of Directors
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships in the local community and common bond area
  • Foster strong relations with the ILCU and other credit union and representative bodies
  • Foster strong relations with the regulatory bodies including the PRA & FCA
