Location: High Wycombe / Hybrid Working - Two days per week on-site in our High Wycombe Office, three days per week working from home.

Develop your HR skills further working within our high performing People team who provide expert advice and guidance to employees, managers and leaders with a hands-on approach to supporting everyone maximise their contribution to achieving our Corporate Plan objectives and ultimately our vision.
The People Advisor works alongside the HR Business Partners and wider People team (a total of 12 including Talent Management, Operations and Recruitment), to provide a pro-active and well-rounded HR advisory to service owners (Directors, Heads of Service and Managers in particular) that adds value across the entire employee lifecycle.
With guidance from the HRBPs you will develop our partnering service across the business as required, inputting into and supporting the HRBPs with elected people management matters across all directorates. We are looking for a team member whose values and ambitions align to ours.
This is an ideal role for someone already operating at Advisor level but wishing to broaden their experience or invest in further professional development or someone stepping up from a co-ordinator level role. We are looking for someone with experience supporting employment lifecycle, basic employee relation queries, performance and absence management who can be hands-on with employee relations, confident to tackle lower-level enquiries and skilled at communicating with all levels of colleagues.
There is huge scope for personal development, getting involved with projects across the People team (and potentially wider!) as well as investing in professional development, qualifications or accreditations as desired.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Significant HR generalist experience working as a HR Co-Ordinator or Advisor OR demonstrable experience working towards that level supporting employment lifecycle, basic employee relation queries, performance and absence management.
- Ability to build and maintain constructive, professional and trusting working relationships with staff and managers with confidence and courage to challenge and lead on HR issues.
- Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential, there is potential for sponsorship after successful completion of probation period.
- Up to date understanding of employment legislation and best practice standards, including ability to advise on practical and pragmatic application of these areas and a strong understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and proficient with using HR systems.
- Experience of working with HR data and metrics, reporting and analysing data in particular.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Work pattern: Mon-Fri 37 hrs p/w: 9-5.30pm Mon-Thurs, 9-5pm Fri with some flexibility.
