About Us: Hummingbird Tours offers immersive 15-night solo travel experiences in North and South Thailand (looking to expand into SE Asia) designed for travelers aged 28 and older. We provide an unfiltered look at Thailand, helping people fall in love with its culture, landscapes, and experiences. This job role will be in Thailand, Indonesia (Jakarta/Bali/Lombok/gili islands), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).
Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Travel Content Assistant to help enhance our tour experiences. This role involves gathering valuable insights about the hotels we stay at, local areas, and excursions while capturing engaging photos and videos. You will play a key role in improving our tours and providing useful content for our travelers. Working closely together with myself to brainstorm and compile lists and key information. We will be working together in SE Asia for the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and document pros and cons of the hotels we stay at so we can hand pick hotels for our customers.
- Research and compile information about local areas, including cultural highlights and practical travel tips.
- Discover and recommend local restaurants for our travelers.
- Take detailed notes on tours and excursions, including traveler feedback and potential improvements.
- Brainstorm and propose new activity ideas to enhance our tour experiences.
- Capture photos and videos to be used for promotional and informational purposes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about travel and cultural exploration.
- Strong observation and note-taking skills.
- Creative eye for photography and videography.
- Independent and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in content creation, tourism, or hospitality is a plus.
