A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trade Compliance Officer to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Crawley.

In this important advisory role, you'll be impacting the business by driving all aspects of trade compliance to meet UK, US, German and other foreign regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced export control candidate, ideally with experience within the defence, military or highly regulated industry. The key purpose of the role is to assist in the promotion and implementation of import/export compliance within the UK (in addition to US, Germany and others), in accordance with all applicable laws & regulations, The Business Group Policy and The Business UK Export Compliance Programme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advise the relevant key stakeholders on the trade compliance requirements for exports, with responsibilities including:
  • Review and where necessary approve, all trade compliance documentation e.g.: CECCs, End User Statements, DSP5s and other supplier licenses, TAAs, MLAs Sales Order/Contracts and Purchase Orders/Subcontracts/Purchase Agreements to establish trade compliance requirements ensuring all relevant information has been included.
  • Liaise with The Business internal functions to ensure US export legislation is implemented correctly, including guidance for Technology Control Plans, US export approvals, re-transfer authorisations etc.
  • Undertake appropriate checks for ITAR material (US suppliers) and DSP's.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
