The position of Transport Administrator involves:
- Working with the Customer Service Team to ensure deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements.
- Working with the Customer Service Team in the event delays or issues are encountered to ensure good communication with the customer.
- Booking in customer deliveries in a timely manner.
- Managing, briefing and de-briefing drivers.
- Assisting the transport team in dealing with delivery issues and vehicle breakdowns as required.
- Supporting the team with keeping the Pallet Networks systems up to date.
- Responding to customer emails and phone queries in a timely manner.
- Processing customer requests and inputting data on various systems.
- General administration duties to include processing driver's paperwork.
- Printing and preparing labels for drivers' pallets and preparing the manifests for onward delivery.
- Assisting with KPI information analysis.
You will be the main point of contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams. The job can be fast-paced and pressurised, but you will receive the support and training needed to be successful in the role.
Essential skills required for Transport Administrator:
- Previous experience working in a transport environment to include knowledge of working time directive and EU driver's hours.
- Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Attention to detail is crucial and working to deadlines daily.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
