Carmondean Early Learning Centre (ELC) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated ELC Practitioner to join the team in the nursery. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences.
Carmondean ELC is situated in the Deans area of Livingston and serves the local community. We are a 50 week setting and provide a mixture of full day and half day places and staff work flexibly across the opening hours. As a member of the ELC team you will work to support the provision of a high quality learning environment for all children promoting challenge, curiosity and creativity. The building provides spacious learning areas and there is a large outdoor garden area.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
