First Point Group is seeking a number of RF engineers to join our client Ericsson USA on contract assignments. We provide work visa support and you must have a valid UK passport to apply for these positions.
We are seeking experienced Senior RF Engineers with a minimum of 7 years in radio network design, implementation, and optimization. This position requires a deep understanding of 5G NR, LTE, IoT, mmWave, LAA, and CBRS. As a technical leader, you’ll guide complex projects for major metropolitan or statewide deployments, ensuring optimal network performance through data-driven analysis and hands-on troubleshooting. Recent experience with Ericsson international projects is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:- Network Design & Optimization on Ericsson network and parameters
- Lead end-to-end radio network design, implementation, and optimization efforts for large-scale projects, focusing on 5G NR, Massive MIMO, LTE, and multi-vendor environments.
- Utilize tools like Planet EV and Atoll for planning, analysis, and optimization of RF networks.
- Act as the primary technical lead for projects, managing the technical team and ensuring successful communication with project managers and customers.
- Oversee technical organization, resource allocation, and deliverables, with a proven record of leadership on four or more projects.
- Troubleshooting & KPI Management: Address and resolve issues such as VoLTE drops, uplink degradation, load balancing, and handover (HO) challenges. Conduct KPI analysis to improve network quality.
- Manage KPIs including interference mitigation, tilt adjustments, cell range optimization, and MFBI (Multi-Frequency Band Indicator) functionality for carrier performance.
- RF Engineering & Documentation: Prepare RFDS documents, ensure RF parameter settings are accurately implemented, and apply experience with Microsoft Visio.
- Conduct site migrations between vendors, maintaining network integrity and performance standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in various 5G and LTE technologies, including NSA/SA modes, UE signaling, and multi-vendor platform KPIs.
- Use experience in crsgain, cellrange adjustments, and the handling of interference and footprint imbalances to optimize RF performance.
- Education & Experience: BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7 years in RF engineering and 4 years of recent radio network design experience.
- Extensive experience in using planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll.
- Technical Skills: Experience with 5G, LTE, mmWave, CBRS, and IoT across platforms, including Ericsson and multi-vendor setups.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and optimization expertise, both in-field and remote, with proficiency in KPI monitoring platforms and RF planning tools.
