Cooneen Group are hiring for a Recruitment Specialist to join the HR team at our Global Head office in Fivemiletown. The position is a 12 month FTC. The successful person will actively contribute to the overall Human Resources strategy of Cooneen Group across all levels and sites, whilst taking ownership for recruitment, attrition, and succession activities.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership for the yearly hiring, attrition and succession plans and work closely with Senior leaders to review current and future hiring needs, and put a plan in place to address these needs.
- Create and manage yearly succession plan with oversight from Business Support Director.
- Carry out planned and reactive recruitment, alongside developing talent pool.
- Take ownership of employer brand proposition, arranging and attending events, advertising, social media, and press.
- Act as subject matter expert in publishing job adverts through various platforms, and take ownership for their effectiveness including SEO and positioning.
- Understand, and advise on legislative requirements impacting the recruitment process making provision for these.
- Act as SME in recruitment and attraction, and interviewing/assessment methods.
- Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during events.
- Schedule direct recruitment activities- minimizing reliance on 3rd parties.
- Monitor and manage attrition rate, putting plan in place to counter perceived reasons for departure.
- Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, and source of hire.
- Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities.
- Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
- Observe all company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.

Requirements
- Essential
- Experience of delivering effective Recruitment, attraction, retention and succession programmes in a similar role.
- Educated to a third level, in a relevant discipline.
- CIPD L3 or above, or working towards it.
- Excellent knowledge of employment law and its application within the workplace.
- Strong Presentation and Communications skills.
- Use of Microsoft suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial.
