We’re looking for: A talented Front End Developer with 5 years of experience, a strong portfolio of high quality website build examples, and a passion for clean code, modern frameworks and producing quality digital experiences. You’ll be part of a small team where ideas, creativity, and collaboration are valued.
Responsibilities:- As senior front-end developer at Persona Studio, you will work directly alongside our technical director to create digital projects that are not only visually stunning, but blazingly fast and with a key emphasis on user experience.
- You will be a key part of our growing studio team, handling the build of full web projects handing over from the design stage (collaborating with the design team) through front-end prototype development, into CMS build and testing.
- Leading greenfield projects before the design stage and informing and recommending features before they reach build.
- Guiding the development of our Headless CMS Solutions with both Sanity and Wordpress API integrations.
- Communicating with both project managers and the design team to ensure deadlines are achievable and scope is realistic.
- Meeting with clients to discuss website design and functionality.
- Degree level training in relevant subject is desired but not essential based on the rest of the experience.
- 4 years of experience in front end development in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of advanced Wordpress templating techniques, ideally including using Timber/Twig templating, and Advanced Custom Fields.
- Ability to create vanilla javascript modules from scratch with standards compliant ES 2016 syntax.
- Knowledge of one or more modern Javascript frameworks such as React or NextJS.
- Experience creating CSS styles from scratch, using modular CSS methodologies alongside experience with Tailwind.
- Advanced SASS techniques such as variables and array mapping.
- E-commerce experience, ideally using Shopify or expanding Wordpress sites with WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of different types of task runners and techniques for concatenating and minifying Stylesheets and Javascript.
- A strong sense of design, functionality and user experience.
The Studio: We are based in a newly refurbished studio in the heart of the Northern Quarter, and follow a hybrid work approach, with 3 days in the office and 2 at home, but also offer flexibility with the studio open all days, depending on what works best for the projects that people are working on.
