The Commercial & Marketing Manager needs to be well-versed in the marine equipment market, understand pricing strategies and market demands, and be capable of planning and delivering go-to-market strategies in collaboration with the sales, marketing, and purchasing teams. The right candidate will have strong analytical and data-driven thinking skills to contribute to the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Reporting directly to the Marathon Managing Director, the Commercial and Marketing Manager will play a key role in various aspects of the business to deliver a best-in-class partnership for our customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Suppliers: Work with current suppliers to ensure their product and brand messages are transferred to the market efficiently. Work with suppliers to grow sales and feedback market intelligence.
  • New suppliers: Work within the business to identify, negotiate with and onboard new suppliers that align with the business strategy.
  • Customer experience: Conduct market research, analyse customer reactions, and nurture Marathon’s relationship with our customers.
  • Campaign management: Plan and manage the marketing strategies with the Alliance UK Marketing team, oversee campaign content, and report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Business growth: Identify new markets, forecast demand, and develop pricing strategies. Work with the internal teams to achieve forecasts.
  • Report and analyse: Markets, customer, and supplier trends and performance.
