Lawes are partnering with a leading global broker to assist with their recruiting within their Marine space. This is a great opportunity for an experienced claims professional to advance their career. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of global marine claims, focusing on the Mediterranean region, from initial notification to settlement. You will work closely with the Head of Marine Claims as part of a structured training programme, while supporting Broking Teams in client retention and acquisition.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience handling Marine Hull & Liability claims (Yacht claims a plus)
  • Technical expertise in claims presentation for optimal client outcomes

SKILLS

  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of London market systems (UTIS)
  • Cert CII/Dip CII (preferred)

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Manage marine claims from initial advice to settlement
  • Negotiate settlements with clients, Lloyd's, and Company markets
  • Support Broking Teams in client retention and acquisition
  • Analyse and present claims for optimal results
