What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Keeping production running - Preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring machinery is operating efficiently.
  • Diagnosing and fixing faults - Quickly identifying and repairing issues to minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring food safety & compliance - Adhering to health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • Optimising machine performance - Monitoring and improving machine reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively - Liaising with production, technical, hygiene, and management teams.

What You’ll Need:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Time-served apprentice or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 17th / 18th Edition Electrical certification.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong electrical bias with mechanical experience.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and understand electrical regulations.
  • Experience with: Packaging machines, grinders, mincers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • High-speed labelling machines and inverters.
  • TIG welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Computer literacy for reporting and diagnostics.
  • Own tools (toolbox provided).
