A packaging company within the Heckmondwike area are currently recruiting for an International Field Service Engineer to install and commission their equipment throughout the UK and Overseas. My client is looking for the Field Service Engineer to be based within a 1-hour radius of their Head Office and will spend around 75% of their time throughout the year travelling the whole of the UK and Overseas at client sites.

Skills required for an International Field Service Engineer:

  • The ideal candidate will be Electrically biased with some Mechanical skills.
  • Be able to fault-find, modify and programme PLC's, ideally Siemens but you can have worked with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron also.
  • Able to add code to existing systems.
  • Come from either a Field Service or Maintenance background.
  • Be prepared to spend 70 – 80% of their time away from home either in the UK or Overseas. Overseas locations include Europe, USA and South America.
  • Excellent communication skills.
