Our client is currently seeking a talented Engineer who is fluent in Mandarin to join their team and support them with a new Offshore Wind project. Location: UK or EU.

Will need to have some structural engineering experience in offshore wind structures and be fluent in Mandarin.

Role

  • You will assist with technical input on foundations during the full lifecycle of development and operations - Managing Offshore Wind Foundation Design Contracts.
  • Client facing role working across Engineering, Construction and Procurement.
  • Writing / reviewing / improving Employer’s Technical and Engineering Requirements.
  • Review of bidders’ technical offers.
  • Involvement in technical clarifications.
  • Assist Design development clarifications.

Essential Requirements:

  • Engineering experience for the Offshore Wind sector.
  • Fluent in Mandarin.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering or similar.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in Design Engineering of Monopiles or Jackets.
  • Experience working with developer / EPCI contractor on Offshore structures.
  • Design of Primary or Secondary Steel for Offshore Wind.
  • Transportation & Installation for OWF & Fabrication & Construction.
  • Loads Analysis, specifically offshore loading and dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations.
  • Experience in Owner’s Engineering, Package Management, Engineering Management or Contract Management.
  • Certifications from agencies like DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.
  • Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments.

NB: please note it is essential to be a fluent Chinese speaker and have some offshore wind engineering experience.
