Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Building Management Systems Engineer to join their expanding team. The BMS Engineer will be an integral part of a collaborative group, responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems that ensure optimal energy performance and efficiency. They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and facilities teams to resolve issues, implement upgrades, and drive continuous improvement across various systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, commission, and provide ongoing support for BMS and Power Monitoring Equipment (PME) projects.
- Develop and implement software solutions tailored to BMS operations.
- Contribute to graphics engineering, improving system interface and user experience.
- Lead and oversee installation teams to ensure timely and effective project completion.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting best practices in the workplace.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive cost-efficiency and profitability through streamlined engineering practices.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and improved workflows.
- Provide support to the Operations Manager in daily operational tasks.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure project quality and adherence to timelines.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards (QHSE).
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their growth and professional development.
- Proven experience with BMS, PLC systems, or related engineering software.
- Hands-on experience with electrical installations, panel design, and modifications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their associated drawings.
- Experience in software design, including engineering software, Java, gaming platforms, or PLC.
- Demonstrated success in delivering BMS, PLC, or software engineering solutions.
- Ability to manage projects of various sizes and budgets effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Membership in a professional body or a relevant technical qualification is desirable.
- A valid UK driving license is essential for this role and a willingness to travel throughout the midlands is required.
