A Huddersfield based Engineering company who have invented, designed and patented an extremely successful solution, has an exciting opportunity for a Site Quality Control Engineer to join their team.
Initially, the role will predominantly involve visiting site to review onsite quality control ensuring our clients' facilities are being constructed in line with the relevant design whilst ensuring construction best practice. This involves working closely with the main contractors and the flooring sub-contractors, hence good interpersonal skills at all levels are essential for this role. On completion of the on-site inspection the engineer will be required to produce a short report using our specially adapted software.
Following further learning and training it is envisaged the right person will develop to eventually attend site meetings as the company representative. This client-facing role will require a good engineering construction understanding.
Due to the diverse nature of the company, during quieter periods depending on qualifications the engineer may be required to aid other departments such as Design or Surveying and Testing.
Requirements:- HND/BSC/BEng Civil Engineering or related subject.
- Site supervision role experience.
- Understanding of construction and construction techniques (preferably concrete structures).
- Good communication skills essential at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Well organised and able to maintain good administration records.
- Professional and able to work under own initiative.
