We are looking for a Psychology graduate who has a good honours degree in Psychology to work with us in our Acute Services within the Working Age Division and are pleased to offer a post working across two new wards on the Kingsway site in Derby.
Audrey House an Enhanced Care Unit (ECU)for women and Kingfisher Ward a male Psychiatric intensive care Unit (PICU)

The post gives the opportunity to join teams that value the contribution that Psychology brings to their work, and a wider supportive network of Psychologists and Psychological Therapists working across the Trust.

Please note, if a high volume of applications is received, this advert may close early so please ensure you submit your application without delay., The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologists working onto each ward. Patient facing work will include short term 1:1 assessment, formulation, intervention and group work. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues to promote holistic care.
The successful candidate will work alongside the qualified Clinical Psychologists to contribute to the service development of the psychological offer on the new wards, including the embedding of trauma informed care. This will involve the development, delivery, and evaluation of training sessions alongside the qualified Clinical Psychologists.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills in order to engage with people with mental health difficulties, their family members and carers. The post holder will support research and audit activities under the supervision of an experienced qualified Clinical Psychologist., There are excellent links with local professional training courses with staff supporting the local training committees, participating in trainee selection and regularly offering training and placements to existing doctoral trainees.
