Job Description

We have taken a brand new role for a dynamic and respected law firm, known for delivering high-quality legal services with a client-focused approach. With a strong reputation in multiple areas of law they are expanding their team and looking for an enthusiastic and organised Legal Assistant to support our growing caseload.

The Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting solicitors and fee earners in the smooth running of legal matters. You’ll be responsible for administrative and legal support tasks, helping ensure cases move forward efficiently and clients receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and contracts

  • Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings

  • Liaise with clients and external stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate files, both digital and paper-based

  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information for cases

  • Assist with case management systems and document bundling

  • Process billing and expenses

  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and post

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant or legal secretary role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

  • Understanding of legal terminology and procedures (desirable)

Salary for the role will depend on experience but we envisage this to be in the region of £26,000 – £30,000
