We are looking to recruit a permanent QA Technician for our client in Coventry to assist the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain lab standards, verify and monitor the Food Safety, Quality Systems and Product Quality within the business through standard testing methods, to meet internal, customer and third party requirements. The role is 4 on 4 off, 7am to 7pm, 12 hours shift.

Accountabilities:- To carry out verification and monitoring of the production process according to the requirements of the Quality and Food Safety Plan, focusing predominantly on the lab based assessments, coordinating all product for external testing whilst maintaining day to day lab duties.
- Sample collection, testing and relevant corrective action for Shelf life monitoring, Microbiological and Chemical Testing, Organoleptic Assessments, results recorded appropriately, this may be electronic or manually.
- Monitor the weekly and monthly budget for testing.
- Act as a Quality and Food Safety Champion, ensuring high levels of GMP and GLP are achieved at all times, and effectively communicate any potential issues.
- Work with the production team to reduce customer complaints.
- Ensure traceability is achieved throughout the production process, and accurate legible records are completed accordingly.
- Support thorough investigations of customer complaints, ensuring that Root Cause is identified and work with the production team to ensure preventive action is implemented.
- Verify equipment according to the Calibration Plan, maintain neat legible records and report equipment out of tolerance.
- Verification and filing of Production and QA records are verified, these are easily retrievable at all times.
Salary: £27,430 per annum
Pension: Statutory
Holiday: 23 days inclusive of bank holidays
