About the Role: Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Manager will play a key role in enhancing equipment performance and ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance processes on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimise the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program within the Engineering function.
- Utilize extensive FMCG manufacturing experience to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Implement and manage PPM strategies to improve equipment performance.
- Monitor and ensure KPIs are met, communicating any issues to internal stakeholders.
- Manage PPM schedules, ensuring quality standards and minimising waste.
- Demonstrate a strong track record with the Shire Pirana CMMS system or similar.
- Provide leadership, team management, and support to the engineering team.
- Develop project forecasts and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage downtime issues efficiently using the CMM system.
- Distribute workload effectively among the team.
- Oversee first and second-line management responsibilities, including staff appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with KPIs related to planned maintenance, health & safety, and quality.
- Offer technical leadership by fostering a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and failure prevention.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum ONC qualification in an Electrical discipline or Multi-Skilled Engineering qualification (C&G, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance) or time-served apprenticeship.
- HNC level qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Maintenance Engineering.
