As the Commercial Finance Analyst you will support the CFO and wider senior management team to deliver robust financial reporting, business intelligence and value add business partnering within this business which has ambition growth plans, supported by private equity investment:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the rolling trading Forecasting, in-month Flash reporting including analysis and explanation of trading & broader business performance variances.
- Provide assistance, as required to the month end reporting process ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting outputs.
- Support a robust review of monthly management accounts to provide insight and advice to SMT & Board on interpreting financial performance to improve the speed and effectiveness of business decision making.
- Business partnering with the senior management team to identify and exploit market opportunities, financial analysis and insight for key strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements that enhance and optimise operational finance controls and cost efficiencies.
- Qualified (ACA is preferred but not essential, ACCA, CIMA).
- Excellent excel and data analysis skills with strong attention to detail, to be deployed in the build of robust financial models to provide dynamic financial reporting.
- A demonstrable ability to perform accurate financial analysis and correlate to business performance.
- Analytically minded and able to investigate queries for resolution.
- Prior experience of providing commercial finance/business partnering is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both within the finance organisation but especially in business terms to the senior operating and general management team.
- A self-starter, who is able to work independently and balance workload effectively.
- An aptitude for working at pace and a desire/interest in working in a private equity backed environment.
This role is initially for 3 months with the possibility for extension.
