Location: Oxford and surrounding areas

Salary: £26K to £38K DOE + overtime rates

Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexibility required for out of hours and weekends)

Environmental Essentials are a well-established asbestos company with 5 offices across the UK and an excellent reputation for delivering a first class, quality focused service to a number of very high-profile clients. Due to expansion, continued growth and recent major contract wins, we are looking for Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team.

The Job Role

  • Carry out water sampling, testing, and monitoring for legionella, TVC’s, E.coli and coliforms, free chlorine, and microbial contamination.
  • Temperature monitoring to ensure compliant temperatures are achieved.
  • Ensure timely reporting of water quality findings and take corrective actions where required to mitigate risks.
  • Showerhead cleaning and descaling
  • TMV servicing
  • Cold water storage tank clean and chlorination works
  • Closed system sampling and analysis
  • Closed system chemical dosing
  • Completing inspection reports whilst on site, being able to identify any recommendations systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards and legislative requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on routine monitoring, maintenance, and disinfection activities for water systems

About You

  • Water Hygiene Background
  • Relevant experience within the Water Hygiene Industry
  • Experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor would be advantageous but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to travel around the South Region
