Salary: Up to £45,000.00 (depending on experience)

Working hours: 35 hours per week

About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for an Equine Insurance Team Leader to join our Equestrian Sales Team in their South Ockendon office. The role holder will be responsible for supporting and managing a team of Equine new business staff, including monitoring performance, providing feedback for development and training, and conducting performance reviews. Key responsibilities

  • Conducting department meetings and keeping regular communication with other departments
  • Proactively using the Call Recording System for training and development
  • Generating and following up leads from all possible company sources
  • Producing relevant statistics as requested by the Directors
  • Ensuring all quotations and subsequent business are within the authority binding to us by any insurance company(ies)
  • Utilizing outbound phone contact with clients to assist in the conversion of sales
  • Maintaining full and accurate information on all enquiries and quotations
  • Demonstrating competence in selling all of the company’s scheme products
  • Underwriting new business within our delegated authority
  • Referring to Insurers where required – outside our delegated authority
  • Developing effective and productive behaviour with our capacity providers
  • Handling complaints and providing evidence/timeline of events to compliance
  • Training and developing the team to achieve levels of authority
  • Assisting with competitor ring rounds at least twice a year
  • Setting Department KPIs/targets and expectations as well as individual targets
  • Carrying out appraisals twice a year for each team member
  • Staying aware of market trends and competitor activities
  • Preparing monthly reports for Managers meetings and quarterly board reports

  • Ability to contribute to senior leadership discussions on strategy
  • Planning and project management skills
