We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and scale our system circuitry and safety, from solar array design to power distribution within a synthetic methane process plant. This role is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a high-impact environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead all electrical design aspects, including:
- Optimising solar array systems to power the synthetic methane plant
- Developing direct DC solar to DC load coupling with minimal middleware or controls
- Phasing out mains (AC) power requirements for full-scale system deployment
- Managing safety certification processes for electrical systems
- Selecting and optimising solar panels for large-scale deployments
Core Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Experience in panel design, certification, and deployment in large industrial settings
- Familiarity with Machinery Directive standards
- Hands-on experience with high power/voltage industrial systems (3-phase, ≥400V)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ISO9001 certification processes
- Knowledge of software safety standards (IEC 61508)
- Expertise in power and control systems for industrial equipment and process plants
- PLC, actuator, and sensor integration experience
- SIL 2 or higher-rated systems experience
