An IT Network Design Consultant is required to create, design, implement, and optimise network infrastructures to meet an organization's requirements. This role will support a leading media organisation as it separates from its existing network and establishes a new global WAN, leveraging Palo Alto Prisma or an alternative solution. The project will be delivered in two phases: the first focused on planning and documentation, and the second on implementation. This initial presale activity will ensure the organization is fully prepared to execute the network transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive network assessment and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop high-level and low-level network designs, including architecture, security measures, and scalability plans
  • Create implementation and migration roadmaps ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption
  • Design and document security policies, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Establish a network monitoring and management strategy to optimize performance
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and resource planning

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in network architecture, design, and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of global WAN technologies, including SD-WAN solutions like Palo Alto Prisma
  • Expertise in network security design, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control
  • Experience in large-scale network migrations and transformations
  • Ability to produce detailed technical documentation for design, implementation, and operations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
