Senior Backend (Python) Engineer – Outside IR35 Contract – 6 Month – £500 per day

We have been engaged by a government organisation seeking a Senior Backend (Python) Engineer to help integrate a new enterprise AI chatbot. This is for a 6-month contract at £500/day, outside IR35. This role is London-based hybrid, 2 days per week on-site.

You’ll develop microservices, scalable systems, and AI services (ASR, TTS, LLMs) while collaborating with data scientists, product managers, and designers to optimize performance.

Must-have skills:

1. Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pytest)
2. GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry
3. Duration – initial 6 months
4. Day rate – £500 per day (Outside IR35)
