Octopus Energy is on a mission to shake up the energy industry—transparent pricing, renewable energy, and customers who actually like their energy supplier. We’re looking for a Programmatic Marketing Specialist to help us bring our message to the right people at the right time.

You’ll be the mastermind behind our programmatic campaigns, audience segmentation, automation, and tracking, making sure our digital ads work smarter. We like to move fast so you’ll need to be comfortable in a lean, reactive team where plans can pivot fast.

What you'll do:

  • Running killer programmatic campaigns: Setting up, managing, and optimising programmatic ad campaigns across display, video, and social.
  • Keeping a watchful eye on performance, ensuring budgets are spent wisely and not wasted on bots.
  • Tweaking bidding strategies, creatives, and audience targeting to constantly learn and develop.
  • Diving into performance reports and using real-time data to tweak campaigns.
  • Running A/B tests to find out what makes customers tick.
  • Distilling complex analytics into actionable insights that help us refine our marketing magic.
  • Building smart audience segments to serve up hyper-relevant ads.
  • Setting up automation workflows to keep our targeting slick.
  • Setting up floodlights, pixels, and tagging to track conversions.
  • Working with creative, data, and tech teams to keep our campaigns looking great and running smoothly.
  • Understanding the end-to-end journey of both our retail and products teams.
  • Ripping up pointless meetings and openly throwing out big ideas, and challenging the status quo.

What you'll need:

  • Programmatic experience - you’ve done this before, and you know your way around a DSP and the Google Marketing Platform.
  • An analytical brain - you get a thrill from digging into data and finding ways to improve performance.
  • Quick reflexes - you can pivot campaigns at the speed of light when needed.
  • Tech-savvy mindset - you can confidently set up floodlights, pixels, and automation workflows without breaking a sweat.
