My client, an e-commerce business retailing specialist electrical components and accessories, is looking for a conscientious and proactive Customer and Sales Support Agent. This is a customer-facing role in a small but busy business dealing with pre and post sales enquiries. The role requires the successful candidate to learn various aspects of DC battery systems and related equipment to advise customers. Training will be given, but it is essential that you have an interest in technical subjects and can learn quickly.
Job Specification
- Days/Hours: Mon-Fri | 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Salary: £28-30k dependent on experience

Responsibilities and duties:
- Answer general customer support enquiries via telephone/e-mail/chat
- Chase delivery issues with couriers
- Deal with amendments to customer orders
- Manage product returns and warranty issues
- Process refunds
- Answer technical queries and offer pre-sales product advice via telephone/e-mail/chat
- Recommend products and advise on suitability
- Carry out basic technical calculations
- Take customer orders and card payments via phone
- Prepare quotations and proforma invoices
- Assist customers with post-sales tech support

Person Specification
- Qualifications: Good passes in English, Maths & Physics at GSCE as a minimum
- Key skills:
- Strong communication skills & confident talking with customers on the phone
- Ability to grasp technical detail/concepts and understand the product range to advise customers (training will be provided)
- Conscientious, professional, and able to integrate well into a small team
- Must have a high energy approach and work with a sense of urgency
- Good written and verbal English language skills
- Good arithmetic and numeracy skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products
