What that means day to day
- Working closely with the HS Technical Manager & Head of Operations on the HS strategy and any decisions that may impact the HS service delivery.
- Manage, coach, and support the team of Officers, acting as the decision maker for technical HS decisions.
- Implement and manage the operations strategy, alongside the HS Technical Manager and Head of Operations to support the overall business strategy.
- Develop a quality monitoring process to ensure the highest standards of customer service and technical decision making is delivered and identification of coaching opportunities for the team.
- Point of escalation for customer complaints and advice for Officers when faced with customer and legal challenges.
- Working closely with the HS Technical Manager as an additional point of escalation where support is needed.
What you’ll need to be successful
To be successful in our Health and Safety (H&S) team leader role, you'll need strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the team in promoting a safe working environment. Excellent communication is key for effectively conveying safety protocols and engaging employees in safety practices. It would be advantageous to have an understanding of relevant regulations, risk assessments, and proactive problem-solving to ensure that safety standards are consistently met and improved upon.
