The role: BH Live is recruiting for Casual Recreation Assistants to join our busy team at the Mountbatten Centre. Located in Hilsea, a five-minute drive from Portsmouth city centre, Mountbatten Centre offers access to high-quality fitness facilities including a cardio zone, free weights, functional fitness, group cycle studio, sports hall, running track, swimming pool & spa.
We are ideally looking for someone who already holds an NPLQ qualification but if you haven't, BH Live is one of the only employers to offer a fully funded National Pool Lifeguard Qualification & training (subject to a successful interview and swim test). This is a nationally recognised qualification and will supply you with lifelong skills, such as self-confidence, teamwork as well as the ability to save lives.
You will:
- Work poolside and be the main point of contact for our customers
- Ensure our customers are kept safe
- Erect, dismantle and move equipment
- Clean the centre and equipment
To be successful you will need:
- Ideally you will have your NPLQ qualification, but this is not essential
- Great customer service skills, initiative and the ability to remain calm under pressure is a must.
