What You Will Do

  • Assist partners and senior associates on a variety of trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, documentary collections, standby letters of credit, and trade finance facilities.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, such as credit agreements, security documents, and trade finance documentation.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and research complex legal and regulatory issues.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional communication at all stages of a transaction.
  • Stay current on the latest developments in trade finance law and practice, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules.
  • Contribute to the development of internal training materials and knowledge sharing initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 2-7 years of PQE with experience in trade finance law (ideally gained at a leading City or international law firm).
  • A strong academic background in law.
  • A keen understanding of international trade finance principles and practices (including knowledge of ICC rules a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
