Albany Beck are hiring an experienced Test Lead, to work on a long-term deployment onsite with one of our largest Investment Banking clients, based in London. This will be to oversee all phases of testing across both the build-out of their core product and the implementation and migration of new clients. This is a business critical role in the Client Implementation team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and resilient solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading testing activities in asset servicing, funds, custody, or fund accounting environments, with strong experience in test strategy, planning, execution, and defect management across both technology builds and client onboarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Build Testing

• Own and deliver the end-to-end testing strategy and execution for the core product build, including functional, non-functional, and integration testing phases.
• Define the test approach, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with business analysts, product managers, and technology teams.
• Establish and maintain a traceability matrix to ensure full coverage of business and system requirements.
• Coordinate test data preparation, test environments, and automation frameworks where applicable.
• Drive defect management, including prioritization, reporting, and resolution with technology teams.
• Provide regular progress reporting and ensure clear articulation of testing risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate performance and load testing on the core product.

Client Implementation & Migration Testing

• Design and execute the testing approach for client implementations and migrations, ensuring alignment to product capabilities and client requirements.
• Develop client-specific test plans across data migration, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing phases.
• Lead client-facing test workshops and coordinate client UAT activities.
• Act as the single point of contact for testing with clients and internal stakeholders during implementation projects.
• Ensure testing deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in testing roles within financial services, ideally in asset servicing, custody, or fund accounting domains.
• Proven track record of leading testing phases in both product build-out and client implementation projects.
• Significant experience in leading client-facing testing on complex products (that are currently in the process of maturing).
• Strong understanding of funds processing and related financial operations.
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., ADO).
• Experience working with data migration projects and validating data reconciliation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging both internal teams and external clients.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple test phases across concurrent projects.
