FP&A Systems Manager

FP&A Finance Systems Manager Permanent Midlands Hybrid Working We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated FP&A Finance Systems Manager to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to work closely with the Head of Finance Systems, Transformation Implementation Lead, Head of FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and colleagues in Tech, contributing to the design and development of scalable data structures and reporting models that align with financial objectives. In this hands-on role, the Finance Systems Manager will be responsible for the management and ongoing development of the new FP&A system, OneStream. The role also supports the ongoing digital transformation of the Finance function, helping to optimize systems and processes that add significant value to the business. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Implementation: Lead the solution architecture and design of data models, integrations, and migration processes within OneStream. Manage the implementation project of OneStream, ensuring smooth delivery with collaboration from implementation partners, FP&A, and Finance Business Partners. Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage the transition to business-as-usual operations post go-live. Work closely with the transformation team to implement a post-go-live user support model. System Administration: Act as the Super User for OneStream, providing troubleshooting and guidance to Finance teams for effective system usage. Lead system-related projects including upgrades, customizations, and new feature implementations. Maintain comprehensive user documentation, training materials, and process maps. Collaborate with the Technology team to manage user profiles and licenses. Data Management: Optimize OneStream workflows to support the financial reporting needs of Finance Business Partners. Build and maintain data cubes, business rules, models, and reporting suites to maximize the value of OneStream. Ensure alignment and integrity of data structures and integrations between finance systems and source systems. System Controls: Monitor, manage, and resolve system issues, working with IT teams as necessary. Ensure compliance with up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and controls. Manage controls reporting to mitigate potential system risks. Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support change management across teams. Guide the team with integrity and accountability, focusing on the optimization of processes, systems, and people. Key Requirements: Proven experience managing FP&A systems, ideally with OneStream experience. Strong understanding of accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting. Experience in system implementation, upgrades, and process improvements, ensuring clear controls and documentation. Ability to train and support end-users, including non-finance teams, ensuring effective system usage. Strong accounting background with relevant qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) or proven finance experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive business results.
