UK Deaf Sport is seeking to recruit a Senior Independent Director to join the Board. The Senior Independent Director will support the Chair on all governance issues to ensure the Board is effective in its task of setting and implementing the direction and strategy of UK Deaf Sport and represent the views of stakeholders and Non Executive Directors to the Chair where appropriate.

About Senior Independent Board Director

The individual should have experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Sound knowledge of corporate and sports governance including the Code of Sports Governance.
  • Experience of working in a disability charity or the deaf/disability sport sector and current issues affecting it.

This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be paid where directly related to the work of UK Deaf Sport. We specifically welcome applications from those with lived experience of deafness and from the deaf community.
