We are searching for senior engineers with Downstream (Refining, Petrochemicals , Chemicals and Upstream ) experience to join our risk engineering team:
What can you expect?
- Working with clients and colleagues to deliver the best risk management and insurance terms for clients by accurately representing the risk profile of client assets to the insurance market.
- You will work with our global team of 60+ risk engineers within our Global Upstream Engineering team.
- To have a positive impact on risk management across a broad portfolio of assets, technologies and geographies.
- To broaden your career experience by carrying out a technical role within the insurance sector.
- You will have a unique perspective of corporate management systems, industry best practices and regulations.
- Carry out typically 10 – 12 surveys for oil and gas surveys.

What you will be rewarded with?

We will rely on you to:
- Survey a global portfolio of offshore Industry assets and supporting with the placement of their insurance through development of underwriting reports
- Improve the process safety performance for our client through recommending continued improvements through risk improvement recommendations and implementation of best practices
- Calculating estimated maximum loss values associated with major incidents with the use of our specialist software
- Work with a specialist team of client executives, brokers and claims personnel to provide technical information and support for insurance placement, tenders and requests for proposals.
- Developing thought-leadership publications to support clients in their understanding and delivery of improvement in process safety management topics.
What you need to have:
- Extensive industry experience within the energy sector
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering subject (or similar)
- Effective communications skills in order to liaise with senior management at various sites, delivering presentations and leading survey meetings
- Highly organised in order to achieve report deadlines and coordinate site visits with a range of clients and underwriters across a variety of countries
- An advanced engineering skill set including experience with process engineering, process safety management, operations management, construction project management, asset integrity management and emergency response
What makes you stand out:
- Experience working for one or more major Operators or Manufacturers
- Having held a senior management position(s) or position of technical influence
- Master's Degree in an Engineering subject (or similar)
- Professional/Chartered/Fellow of Professional Institute or the training and experience to obtain chartered status (ICheme/IET/IMechE)
- Fluent in English and other languages
- Project management and commissioning experience
