As the business continues to grow at pace, they are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead the financial strategy and management of the company. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader who combines financial expertise with operational insight, supporting both day-to-day financial management and high-level decision-making to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team, offering insights that inform business decisions, long-term planning, and operational strategies.
  • Oversee the finance function, ensuring the implementation of robust financial systems, processes, controls, and accurate reporting, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to maintain liquidity and optimise working capital.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders across the business to identify and capitalise on opportunities to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the board and investors, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with investors, auditors, and external stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead efforts to secure external financing, negotiating terms with lenders, investors, and underwriters as required.
  • Optimise the company’s capital structure, balancing debt, equity, and financing options to ensure financial flexibility.
  • Evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, including conducting due diligence, valuations, and managing post-acquisition integration, to drive strategic growth.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a VP of Finance, Finance Director, or in another senior financial leadership role, ideally within a high-growth, VC-backed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to professionalise and scale finance functions in a fast-paced, start-up setting, with a focus on driving strategic performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence key business decisions.
  • A strong academic record, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA) preferred.
