As a Studio General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the overall performance of a thriving fitness studio in Chiswick. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive revenue growth, oversee the P&L, and foster a strong community culture. You will ensure operational excellence, develop and empower a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

  • Salary: £45,000 + Performance-Based Incentives
  • Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)
  • Leave: 25 Days per annum

Reporting to: Group Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Studio Growth & Financial Performance: Own and manage the studio P&L, ensuring financial targets, revenue growth, and profitability goals are met. Develop and implement business strategies to increase memberships, client retention, and ancillary revenue streams. Analyse key performance indicators and financial reports to drive data-led decision-making. Work with marketing and operations teams to implement targeted strategies for lead generation and conversion.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a seamless schedule of classes and wellness services. Maintain top-tier facility standards, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance. Implement and uphold compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices. Develop and execute contingency and emergency response plans.
  • Sales & Community Engagement: Lead membership sales efforts, ensuring lead-to-conversion success. Engage with the local community and businesses to enhance brand awareness and drive membership growth. Develop initiatives to improve client retention and build a thriving studio community. Partner with marketing teams to create and deliver engaging local campaigns and events.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and manage a team of coaches, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and front-of-house staff. Provide ongoing coaching and support, ensuring a high-performance culture. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement personal development plans. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and client-focused team environment.
  • Service & Client Experience: Ensure a best-in-class customer experience, fostering a welcoming and results-driven atmosphere. Implement initiatives to increase client engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Ensure all services and classes meet brand and compliance standards.

The Person:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in the fitness, wellness, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing a P&L and driving revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Exceptional team leadership and development capabilities.
  • Strong client service and retention expertise.
  • Highly organised and results-driven, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with business management systems, including scheduling and CRM tools.

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in Dynamic Reformer Pilates, Physiotherapy, Personal Training, or Clinical Exercise.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations within a fitness or wellness environment.
  • Experience managing a mix of employees and contractors.
