An established fund manager is seeking a Lead RFP writer to join their growing team to develop and build out an RFP function initially in a standalone role.

The role will lead the development of a standardised process and platform for the timely completion and delivery of high-quality responses to business opportunities through RFPs, bespoke questionnaires and online databases. The successful candidate will strive to ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, compliant and consistent to provide a high standard of service and the best opportunity to bring in new business. They will be responsible for defining the process, understanding the information and data requirements, challenges with data management and storage, documenting the requirements for each channel and ultimately introducing the most appropriate RFP database to best manage the process.

The individual should have experience in different RFP database systems as they would need to find the most suitable software solution for the firm to help manage the entire lifecycle of an RFP for all business channels in the firm. It is imperative for this person to have exceptional organizational, planning, writing, communication and leadership skills. They should be a self-starter with an innovative mindset which can aid them in finding an optimal RFP process and software solution. A confident and independent individual with a deep interest in project management and problem solving will be ideal. Ultimately we would like them to build a team to support a growing business.

The role requires:

  • 5 years + experience of working in asset management RFP
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and business awareness.
  • Experience with RFP Database systems such as Loopio, Rocketdocs or Qvidian
  • Outstanding organisational, writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty, flexible in thinking and acting, adjusting the behaviour to different stakeholders
  • Time management – ability to meet deadlines for a wide range of tasks and shift priorities when required.
  • Attention to detail – precision and rigour in the execution of tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic – an individual driven by results and achievements.
  • Experience and/or education in areas such as Project Management, Marketing and Business Development and People Management.
  • Experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel and other software programs.
