Our client is a supplier of underfloor heating solutions who have been supplying commercial and residential projects across the UK and Ireland for 35 years. Based in Woolpit, they are passionate about offering a professional, honest service and are proud of their high-quality products. They are looking for a like-minded individual to join their team as a Technical Estimator.

Reporting to the Technical/Design Manager, you will provide estimates, admin assistance to the design team and offer technical support to clients and customers.
Duties (to include but are not limited to):
- Pre-Sales Estimates
- Review plans/specifications from client/architect, where required
- Liaise with projects team and/or client to qualify project requirements, where required
- Using in-house design software, measure project areas (software training provided)
- Complete an estimate take-off sheet/bill of materials, using MS excel
- Return information to the project sales department for them to raise quotation
- Obtain quotes from suppliers for screed/insulation materials, where required
- Process estimates from external designers
- Coordinate and liaison between external designers and projects teams; regarding estimate return dates, ETA’s, priorities, monitor and communicate queue status etc.
- Full Design Work
- Confirm all required information is provided, liaise to obtain information, where required
- Review and process completed designs from external design resources
- Publishing design drawings in PDF format from AutoCAD LT (software training provided)
- Submit completed designs to client, for approval
- Create a project matrix for completed designs
- Upload design drawings to relevant document servers (Internal; Sharepoint & Google Drive, as well as external client portals i.e. Field View, 4Projects, DocHosting, Procore etc.)
- Allocate design workload to design team (internal and external resources)
- Coordinate and liaison between external designers and projects teams; regarding design return dates, ETA’s, priorities, monitor and communicate queue status etc.
- Technical Support / Training
- 1st responder for technical queries, via email, WhatsApp and telephone calls
- Trouble shooting and responding to general technical queries regarding heating system/components
- Dealing with underfloor heating repair enquiries
- General
- Update CRM database, as required
- Participate in internal meetings, as required
- Identify and meet personal job-related training and development as required
- Undertake telephone liaison with relevant contacts
- Provide assistance in terms of general and specific business support as required
- Provide cover for other members of the team
