My client is a specialist company in construction acoustics, offering expert solutions across multiple sectors. Based in Wokingham, they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team and assist the Head of Estimating in delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Estimating in preparing detailed cost estimates for acoustics projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to accurately assess the costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare and submit tender documents and pricing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services.
- Support in the management and tracking of estimates and tenders, ensuring deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Experience in acoustics is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation principles and practices, particularly in construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and the estimating team.
